🎬 Cap-IV: NewPrinces–Plasmon: The “La vita è bella” of Italian Capitalism

Remember that scene?
Guido smiles, turns war into a “game,” and protects his son’s hope.
The audience cries… and forgets reality for a moment.

Today, in Italy, the same script plays out.
But with balance sheets.

An entrepreneur “saves” Plasmon.
Media cheers. Banks applaud. Grandparents sigh.
How beautiful! Our story lives on!

But… what if this is just a game too?

📉 Behind the heroic facade

Nominal ROI of the lease: 4.5%

Real inflation in food (2024–25): 3.7%

Real ROI (1–2): ≈ 0.8% (or negative)

The operational cash flow does not create value: it keeps the illusion alive.

Leasing the factory is not about producing baby food,
it’s about buying time, structuring the exit, and selling the story.

🔧 The real engineering is not industrial. It’s narrative + finance.

>Plant used for other group brands → immediate operational coverage

>Plasmon as symbolic asset → positioning leverage

>Lease instead of full integration → tax agility, clean exit, full optionality

In a stagnant market, with frozen wages, purchasing power eroded, and the GBP/EUR exchange falling (home base Prince), nostalgia doesn't sell… it’s leased.

💥 Final Insight

> “If you pay €124M for an asset generating nearly zero real return,
you’re not investing in a brand.
You’re paying for the right to tell a beautiful story…
until the market stops believing it.”

And just like in the movie…
the problem is not the game.
It’s when it ends.
