🇨🇭 Suiza dice NO al impuesto confiscatorio sobre herencias
El 79% de los votantes suizos rechazó una propuesta para gravar con un 50% las herencias superiores a $62 millones. Más allá de los números, esta decisión plantea preguntas fundamentales sobre el equilibrio entre justicia fiscal y promoción de la iniciativa empresarial.
¿Dónde está el límite razonable?
La propuesta del ala juvenil del Partido Socialdemócrata buscaba financiar proyectos climáticos, un objetivo loable. Sin embargo, el resultado refleja una preocupación profunda: ¿puede un impuesto del 50% sobre el patrimonio familiar convertirse en un desincentivo para la creación de riqueza y empleo?
Tres reflexiones clave:
1️⃣ **El rol del Estado**: ¿Debe actuar como facilitador del crecimiento o como redistribuidor masivo? El voto suizo sugiere que los ciudadanos prefieren un Estado que impulse oportunidades antes que limitar el esfuerzo acumulado.
2️⃣ **Impacto en el emprendimiento**: Las grandes fortunas suelen estar vinculadas a empresas que generan miles de empleos. Un impuesto confiscatorio podría cerrar puertas a nuevos empresarios y frenar la inversión productiva.
3️⃣ **El sentido común ciudadano**: En esta ocasión, los votantes demostraron mayor pragmatismo que algunos líderes políticos. Reconocieron que existen límites a la redistribución sin comprometer la prosperidad futura.
La búsqueda de soluciones al cambio climático y la desigualdad es urgente, pero debe hacerse con medidas que no destruyan los incentivos para crear, innovar y generar empleo.
