ATP: Sparks of Collective Intelligence
By Carlos J. Pérez Pulido · ISHEA Institute ·
The brain is not a soloist but a hive: billions of neurons act as nodes, and the ATP that fuels them becomes the spark of an intelligence that exists only through connection.

✨ ATP: Sparks of Collective Intelligence ✨
🧠 The brain is not a soloist — it is a hive.
Billions of neurons work like bees, creating intelligence through connection, not isolation.
🔗 Neurons = Nodes
Each neuron connects to thousands of others. Like bees in a hive, strength lies not in the individual, but in the network.
⚡ ATP = Sparks of Energy
The true fuel of thought is tiny biochemical sparks that allow neurons to fire.
In collective intelligence, these sparks are stories, symbols, and shared meanings that ignite collective memory.
🐝 The Hive = The Brain
Just as ATP keeps neurons alive, shared narratives keep societies alive.
Collapse happens when sparks fade; resilience begins when new connections regenerate.
👉 Key Lesson: Intelligence and resilience are not located in individuals, but in connections and shared energy.
Protecting these sparks — biochemical or narrative — is protecting society’s capacity to adapt.

Threat or opportunity? Artificial intelligence and our creative capacity
Responding to Pope Leo XIV’s call to “disarm AI”, this piece argues that the risk lies not in the technology but in the human system using it: well designed, AI can free up creative capacity.
