🎯 La lección de liderazgo de John Furner: Adaptarse o quedarse atrás
Walmart acaba de nombrar a John Furner como su nuevo CEO (efectivo febrero 2026), y su trayectoria nos deja una lección poderosa sobre innovación y adaptación.
**De empleado de medio tiempo a CEO**
Furner comenzó en 1993 en el centro de jardinería de Walmart. 33 años después, liderará uno de los retailers más grandes del mundo.
**La transformación que cambió todo**
Como CEO de Sam's Club (2017-2019), Furner tomó una decisión audaz:
- Cerró 63 tiendas que no funcionaban
- Convirtió 12 de ellas en centros de distribución de e-commerce
- ✅ Resultado: +25% crecimiento en ventas digitales
**La moraleja es simple:**
→ Siempre avanzar e innovar
→ Adaptarse al mercado
→ Reconocer que el mundo digital crecía
→ Y que debían competir en ese terreno
Furner no luchó contra la realidad del comercio electrónico. La abrazó. Tomó infraestructura física existente y la reconfiguró para el futuro.
En menos de 4 meses convirtió la primera tienda en un centro de fulfillment operativo. No esperó. Ejecutó.
