LEX in Action: When a System Reveals Whether We React or Create
By Carlos J. Pérez Pulido · ISHEA Institute ·
The same shock can end in collapse or in resilience. Using LEX and cases such as Brazil, this piece reads the difference between systems that merely react and systems that create.
Note — Short piece published openly. Thinking in progress, not a result.
🔥 LEX in Action: When a System Shows if We React or Create
History shows that not all systems respond the same under stress.
The same shock can lead to collapse… or resilience.
🐝 Case 1: Brazil (Africanized Bees)
In 1956, the introduction of African bees changed local beekeeping.
Swarms became more aggressive
Beekeepers had to use more protection and change practices
👉 Outcome: survival, but at a high cost
🇦🇺 Case 2: Australia (European Bees)
The European bee population remained stable.
Swarms were cooperative
Beekeepers maintained safe, sustainable practices
👉 Outcome: stability and resilience
📌 Lesson from LEX:
The shock was the same, but the outcome differed.
Why? LEX measures is translated into action:
Brazil → defensive reaction
Australia → sustainable cooperation
🌍 Human systems today follow the same pattern:
A war, a pandemic, economic shocks…
Some countries react with control and fear
Others convert into cooperation and innovation
🌱 Conclusion:
LEX is a lens that shows whether societies expend energy reacting or invest it in creating.
👉 Takeaway for modern societies: to achieve resilience, focus on creation over reaction — moving from a tense hive to a resilient swarm.
💡 Question:
Do you feel your country responds more like Brazil (reactive) or Australia (resilient)?

3/4. The HALO Reactor Is Not a Reactor
Third instalment of the series: the HALO Reactor neither burns nor consumes fuel. The piece dismantles the classic idea of a reactor to describe a system that organises energy rather than spending it.

Coherent Energy: From Artemis to HALO
Not a story about rockets, but about the invisible principle nature uses to sustain complex systems, and which is now redefining how missions and machines are designed.
